About
I am a final year PhD student at the MULTISPEECH team of LORIA-INRIA laboratory, Nancy, France. My doctoral thesis titled "Expanding the Training Data for Neural Network Based Hate Speech Classification" is supervised by Dr. Irina Illina and Dr. Dominique Fohr, and funded by ANR under the project M-PHASIS. During my 1st year of PhD, I had an opportunity of short research stay at the Spoken Language System(LSV) team of Saarland University, Germany, during which I was supervised by Prof. Dr. Dietrich Klakow, who continues to collaborate and supervise me.
My thesis focuses on the fine-grained classification of hate speech using Deep Learning techniques. Considering the fact of very few samples are available in hate speech corpora, my work focuses on low resource text classification. To tackle the problems of classification in low resource scenarios, I have focused on incorporating semi-supervised learning and data augmentation techniques for text classification.
Research Interests
My main interests are applications of Deep Learning in Natural Language Processing(NLP).
I have developed a few of my core interests in below topics (but definitely not restricted to!!!):
- Text Classification
- Natural Language Understanding
- Semi-supervised learning
- Natural Language Generation
